Shaw University received a donation on Wednesday to help with tornado recovery.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Shaw University received a donation on Wednesday to help with tornado recovery.

Shaw's campus in downtown Raleigh was hit hard during the April 16 200 tornadoes. The school has been cleaning up and rebuilding.

The West Raleigh Rotary Club donated $2,500 for disaster recovery.

Also on Wednesday, the university announced that Mack Sowell Jr. made a personal donation of $24,700 towards the school’s scholarship fund.
