<b>TARBORO, N.C.</b> — An Illinois-based custom packaging manufacturing company plans to open a plant in Edgecombe County, creating 40 jobs, officials said Friday.

FCA selected the KanBan Logistics facility in the Kingsboro Industrial Park to manufacture skids that will house engines for Cummins, which has a plant nearby.

The company makes a range of custom packaging that includes wood, steel, corrugated and hybrid products. It will occupy about 40,000 square feet and expected to begin operations within 60 days.
