Dr. J. William Byrd announced that he will step down after 14 years in the role.

The president of Mount Olive College will leave the role effective Tuesday.
Dr. J. William Byrd announced that he will step down after 14 years in the role. He will become the school's first chancellor.
Dr. Philip Kerstetter will take over as the college's fourth president.
