Johnston County Harbor, Inc. will hold a candlelight vigil Aug. 6 to raise awareness of domestic violence.

The vigil was prompted by recent news reports of domestic violence, a spokeswoman said.
The vigil will be begin at 7 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church in Smithfield.
