FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Regional Airport will begin work next month to repave the runway and improve lighting for take-offs and landings.

A $6.8 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration will cover most of the cost of the project, which is expected to be complete in six months.
