Carolina Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward donated more than $12,500 Monday to Special Olympics North Carolina.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Carolina Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward donated more than $12,500 Monday to Special Olympics North Carolina.
The donation was part of the second year of "Cam's Champs," Ward's fundraising campaign to raise awareness and encourage others to donate to Special Olympics. As part of the effort, he donated $4 for every save he made last season.
