A search warrant details the moments before an 11-year-old girl was shot in early June and walked into the Durham Rescue Mission to call 911.
Durham Police officers responded to a call on East Main Street on June 7 around 10:30 p.m. and found an 11-year-old girl suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to the warrant, the girl was in the backseat of her mother's car when a another car fired multiple gunshots into that car, striking the girl twice.
The mother told investigators that she was involved in a traffic accident, called 911 to report the accident and was subsequently followed by a silver sedan while trying to return to the scene of the accident.
The mother said that the car that was following her attempted to pull up beside her but was unsuccessful.
She then heard multiple gunshots and noticed her daughter had been struck, prompting her to drive to the Durham Rescue Mission for help. Surveillance footage inside the building showed the moment when bystanders came to help the girl after her mother brought her in.
The warrant notes that gunshots could be heard in background as the mother called 911.
Traffic video footage from the area shows the mother's car reach the intersection of North Alston Avenue and East Main Street at 10:20 p.m. A silver sedan can be seen behind the mother's car.
When she turned to make a right, the silver sedan continued behind her.
At 10:21 p.m., surveillance footage showed people outside the Bull City Grab & Go on East Main Street duck down to take cover, look toward the direction of the shooting and begin running.
The warrant said the silver sedan left the scene and was out of video frame.
A suspect has not been identified yet.
It is unclear if the silver sedan was involved in the initial accident with the mother's car.
This remains an active investigation, as officers are working to determine who was in the silver sedan using cellphone data for the time and place of the shooting.
