"I just got home and my kids are bloody. They are on the floor. I think my other son did it, he’s gone, I can’t believe this is happening," the children's father says in the 911 call.
When the dispatcher asks him if he sees any weapons, the man says he sees a hammer. Arrest warrants accuse Borrello of using a hammer and knife in the attack.
During the call, the man says he did not know the whereabouts of his 16-year-old son.
Following the call, deputies searched the area with a drone and K-9 units and took Borrello into custody.
The 12-year-old victim was identified as Clara Borrello, a student at Fuquay-Varina Middle School.
