RALEIGH, N.C. — With the winter weather in the forecast, it seems appropriate that there's a wintry event in downtown Raleigh this weekend with activities for the entire family.

Flannels & Frost, organized by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, is 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, on Moore Square. The afternoon will include live music, hot drinks, treats and a variety of activities, including

  • Instrument Zoo where kids can try out all kinds of instruments
  • an interactive ice sculpture
  • inflatable ax throwing.

Downtown vendors will be selling hot chocolate, desserts, beer, wine and more.
