RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. Museum of Art is offering a three-week virtual anime workshop for teens this month and next.

Digital Anime for Teens is 1:30 p.m to 3 p.m, Jan. 23, Jan. 30 and Feb. 6. It's free, but you will need to download the Clip Studio app, which costs about $25 for a year's subscription, to take part.

Here's a description of the program, courtesy of the museum:

Learn to draw anime like the pros! Join illustrator David A. (P-Shinobi), and learn to make digital anime art. This class uses one of the most popular and capable digital art software programs, Clip Studio. Downloading this app will be your only expense for the workshop; it costs approximately $25 for a year’s subscription, a wonderful gift for the budding artist. In this three-week course, you will be introduced to the world of digital illustration and create anime art!
The instructor, P-Shinobi, is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer who has been drawing for more than 15 years and runs BoomSlank with his two older brothers.
More information is on the museum's website.
