RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. Museum of Art has a bunch of activities coming up that cater to both kids and teens. Here's what's happening:
  • Virtual Teen Art Portfolio Development Workshop, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., July 21, July 22 and July 23. The virtual workshop for teens ages 15 and up includes an opportunity to share their work with peers, art museum staff and college art faculty members. This is a great opportunity for teens interested in studying art in college. You'll want to pre-register for this one ASAP as it starts this week. The fee is $34.
  • The museum will host an in-person, outdoor version of its Mindful Museum program at 9 a.m., Saturday, July 24, in the Museum Park next to the Ellipse (which is just off the parking lot off Blue Ridge Road). Best for ages 6 and up. Everybody age 7 and up needs a ticket. They are $10.
  • And a family movie night will feature "Sister Act" at 9 p.m., Aug. 7, outside. Tickets are $9.65 and free for kids 6 and under.
