It might be a holiday week, but the N.C, Museum of Natural Sciences' Finally Friday movie night is on anyway. And this week, they'll be featuring a family-friendly flick - "Wall E."

The program begins at 5:30 p.m., Friday, with movie-themed science stations. The movie starts at 7 p.m. And special guest Alan Rich, a NASA-Jet Propulsion Laboratory Solar System Ambassador, also will be on hand to separate facts from fiction after the screening.

For the uninitiated, here's a quick description of the 2008 movie, which is rated G, courtesy of the downtown Raleigh museum:

"Seven hundred years into the future mankind will leave our planet, leaving Earth’s cleanup in the hands of one incredible machine. His name is WALL·E. But after all these years, he’s developed one little glitch … a personality. He’s extremely curious. And just a little bit lonely. But all that is about to change."

It stars, among others, Oscar-winning sound designer Ben Burtt, who is credited for creating Chewbacca’s voice and sounds as well as the voice of Yoda, E.T. and of course WALL·E; Jeff Garlin, who plays dad Murray on TV’s “The Goldbergs;" and Sigourney Weaver.

Finally Friday tickets are $5 per person. More details are on the museum's website.
