Men Standing in the Gap, the group behind the popular Triangle Father-Daughter Dance each February at Marbles Kids Museum (which resulted in these insanely adorable pictures last February), will host a Mother Son Valentine's Ball this year as well.

The event is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Feb. 15, at Marbles in downtown Raleigh. Tickets are $45 for a mom and son together and $25 for each additional son.

"Due to overwhelming requests, we are pleased to announce our 1st Mother Son Valentine's Ball," says an email from the group. "Sons are coming from around the Triangle to bring their first love, Mommy, out to dance."

I hope to have more about the event in the coming weeks. For more information, click here.
The Triangle Father-Daughter Dance also is still on. It's 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Feb. 1, at Marbles Kids Museum. Tickets start at $45 for a dad and daughter pair. Click here to get your tickets.

The evenings include food, music, after-hours play at Marbles and more.

I featured Joel Wiggins, a local dad who started the father-daughter dance in 2007 and has been working to help men be the best fathers they can be.
