Like everything else, Morehead Planetarium and Science Center is closed during the pandemic. And this week, the Chapel Hill destination rolled out its virtual activities for all ages to help keep us busy and educated during this time of social distancing.

Here's what's planned so far ...

Skywatching

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Morehead educators will lead skywatching sessions via Zoom to explore the latest celestial happenings and other astronomy-related topics. Tuesdays are best for kids in grade 6 and below. Thursdays are best for teens and older adults.

Virtual Science Cafes

On Wednesdays, the cafes will meet through May 6 and feature a variety of guest speakers, researchers and scientists.

360° Video Premieres

On Fridays, you can see some of the center's most popular fulldome planetarium shows from home.

The Morehead at Home page has more information. It will be updated going forward with more activities.
