RALEIGH, N.C.Marbles Kids Museum this week announced that it has received a $75,000 grant to make changes to the now decade-old Moneypalooza exhibit.

The money comes courtesy of the Capital Bank Foundation, which doled out $230,000 in grants to community groups in the Triangle, Charlotte and the Triad. Marbles, which is in downtown Raleigh, is the only Triangle-based group to receive funding. Since last summer, the Capital Bank Foundation, the charitable arm of Capital Bank, has awarded a total of nearly $432,000 to benefit North Carolina communities, according to a news release.

With the money, according to the release, Marbles will refresh Moneypalooza, the second floor play-based financial literacy exhibit that includes an indoor playground and giant piggy bank that drops plastic balls on children gathered below. (Don't worry. The pig will remain.) The money will make possible some expanded play offerings inside the exhibit's Aunt Polly's Pet Shop space, according to Marbles.
