Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh wants kids to bring their bikes and helmets to the museum this Saturday for Marbles' first bike rodeo.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, kids of all ages and skill levels are welcome to try out a bike safety course, take part in a bike bling makeshop and learn more about bike safety.

The rodeo is behind the museum and the IMAX theater. Oaks & Spokes, Bike Raleigh, Bike Smart Grow Smart, Activate Routes to Schools and Oak City Cycling are helping out during the event.

A bike corral will be on hand so you can park your bike while you play at the museum. (Be sure to bring a lock!). Families also can pick up information about Raleigh's bike scene and bike trails.

The event is free with admission to Marbles, which is $5 per person and free for members. It looks like it might be a bit rainy on Saturday. Marbles folks tell me they are planning on making some contingency plans for the event. So stay tuned!
