I wrote about the new documentary - Oceans 3D - at Marbles Kids Museum's IMAX theater the other day. (And I had a chance to see it and will share more about it later this week.)
But the theater in downtown Raleigh also will have another documentary that might be worth catching this weekend. The giant screen will show "Warren Miller's Face of Winter" with three showtimes this weekend - 7:20 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m., Sunday. The movie, which isn't rated, runs just over two hours.

It showcases Miller, a ski and snowboarding filmmaker who is considered a pioneer in the world of extreme sports. He died a year ago at the age of 93. The movie is a tribute to Miller's career - and also the 69th installment of the series from Warren Miller Entertainment, which Miller founded. For decades, Miller produced and created films that showcased skiing and snowboarding.

The movie, according to the description, will bring together new and veteran athletes alike to pay tribute to Miller. It includes video of the world's best skiers and riders as they cover ground at some of Miller's favorite locations from Switzerland to Chamonix, British Columbia to Alaska, Chile, Iceland, New Zealand and more.

Check out the trailer ...

Tickets are between $9 and $12 for this one. They're available on Marbles' website. Sounds like a fun outing for families with a ski or snowboarding trip planned this winter.
