My six-year-old is a huge fan of the Magic Tree House series. And judging by the sales and popularity of the books by Mary Pope Osborne that follow the adventures of Jack and Annie, there are many more out there.

So I know there will be plenty of interest in this:

The Regulator Bookshop in Durham will host the "Passport to Adventure! A Magic Tree House Live Reading Tour" at 7 p.m. March 30. The national tour, sponsored by Random House Children's Books, brings Jack and Annie live and in person to meet their fans.

The duo will roll into 22 cities across the United States and Canada on the "Magic Tree House Express." There will be live, theatrical performances and songs based on the bestselling series. There also will be some giveaways; an official Jack and Annie "book stamping;" and more.

A ticket is required to attend this event. Tickets are free with the purchase of any of the Magic Tree House books at The Regulator. You can buy the books and get a ticket now or at the event. Call the store at 919-286-2700 to pre-purchase books and tickets.

The Regulator is at 720 9th St. in Durham.
