If you're looking for an activity to get your kids away from their screens and have them start moving, check out Movez from Youngsville-based Kenson Kids.

Jennifer Edmundson, a mom of three and psychiatric nurse, and Jennifer Kent, a mom of one with a background in laboratory technology, are the co-founders of Kenson Kids. As I wrote earlier this year, they got to know each other in a neighborhood playgroup when their kids were just babies. Two years later, as their children entered their toddler years, the idea for Kenson Kids was born.

Today, the two offer a full line of chore and reward charts and games. Their products, available on Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com and elsewhere, have been especially helpful for families with kids with autism and ADHD. Both moms have experienced the impact of ADHD firsthand: Edmundson, in her career as a registered psychiatric nurse, and Kent, as the mom of a son with ADHD.

Among their latest products is the new Movez game, which is described as equal parts scavenger hunt, charades and gym class. The newly launched game aims to get kids off screens and help them actively engage with family and friends.

"Movez was designed to help establish good fitness habits in kids at an early age," says Edmundson. "Our goal is to give parents another tool to engage with their children, in the form of a game that encourages physical activity and social interaction."
