RALEIGH, N.C. — It is that time of year again and we have your list of holiday celebrations in the area.
Nov. 15
Cameron Village in Raleigh kicks off the holiday season early with shopping discounts, contests, giveaways, fun for the family and 142 trees full of sparking lights. The Holiday Open House marks the start of the "Season of Wishes," which includes $13,000 worth of gifts throughout the season.

Nov. 17

Raleigh Christmas Parade (downtown Raleigh) - Tens of thousands of people will line the streets while thousands more will watch this annual parade from home. WRAL-TV will be airing the parade live and after you can check out the WRAL Winter Wonderland at Saint Mary's School until 1:30 p.m.
North Hills Tree Lighting (North Hills, 4191 Main at North Hills Street, Raleigh)- This annual celebration includes a visit from Santa, trackless train rides and more.
Kids of all ages enjoyed the Sledding Slopes!

Nov. 27

Town of Louisburg's Annual Tree Lighting (Franklin County Courthouse, 102 S. Main Stl, Louisburg) - This annual tree lighting is happening from 6 to 8 p.m.
Nov. 30
Downtown Raleigh Tree Lightning Celebration (Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, 2 E. South St., Raleigh) - Enjoy this tree lighting ceremony from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. featuring snacks, carolers and Santa.
Knightdale Christmas Tree Lighting (Knightdale Station Park Amphitheater, 10 N First Ave, Knightdale) - Write letters to Santa, visit with Mrs. Claus, take a train ride, enjoy entertainment, free goodies and hot chocolate.
Christmas on Salem Street (downtown Apex) - The festivities include the Apex Christmas tree lighting, caroling and sleigh rides. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to greet the children.

Dec. 1

Knightdale Christmas Parade (Knightdale Station Park Amphitheater, 10 N First Ave, Knightdale) - This annual event brings over a thousand people to view as local schools, non-profits, and businesses parade their floats, bands, and other decorated pieces down 1st Avenue.

Apex Rotary Christmas Parade (Salem Street, Apex) - This parade starts rolling down Salem Street at 5 p.m.

Dec. 8

Durham Holiday Parade and Fun Fest (Downtown Durham) - The holiday parade kicks off down Main Street at 10 a.m. It will be followed by the Fun Fest, featuring Santa, bounce houses and more, at Blackwell Street between Morehead Avenue and West Lakewood Avenue starting at 1 p.m.
2017 Raleigh Christmas Parade highlights
Chapel Hill- Carrboro Holiday Parade (Downtown Chapel Hill) - This parade starts at 10 a.m. at the old Post Office on E. Franklin Street and ends at the Carrboro Town Hall on Main Street.
Cary Jaycees Christmas Parade (Downtown Cary) - This annual parade kicks off at 1 p.m.

Wake Forest Christmas Parade (Downtown Wake Forest) - Wake Forest's annual Christmas parade includes more than 100 colorful floats and entries from local businesses, churches, schools and civic groups, as well as high school marching bands and – of course - Santa Claus.
Fayetteville Rotary Christmas Parade (Person Street in Fayetteville) - This annual parade kicks off at 11 a.m. at Person Street and runs to Market House to Hay Street and then the Railroad Station.
