<b>ROCKY MOUNT, N.C.</b> — Internet services have been restored at some driver license offices and license plate agencies in the Triangle and eastern North Carolina on Monday.

AT&T reported the outage around 8:15 a.m., after several fiber optic cables were cut in Wake County. The issue was resolved

The outage affected seven driver license offices and four license plate agencies. North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles attempted to reach out to customers to reschedule appointments at affected driver license offices during the outage.

An employee at a DMV office in Garner said computers were down for most of the day.

NC Division of Motor Vehicles is working to combat people not showing up for their scheduled appointments.

“We are working as quickly as possible to restore wireline service to customers in the Raleigh area after contractors from another company damaged our fiber line,” an AT&T spokesperson said.

Drivers should know many services, such as driver license and vehicle registration renewals, vehicle tax payments, and address changes can be completed online at <a href="https://www.ncdot.gov/DMV/Pages/default.aspx" target="_blank">MyNCDMV.gov</a>.
