Big news everybody: Tickets for the incredibly popular Raleigh Santa Train, brought to you by NC By Train, are on sale NOW!

Based on the speed that tickets have sold out in previous years and the demand that NC By Train has seen already this year, these tickets are going to go very quickly, Katie Trout, public information and marketing officer, tells me.

With tickets, you'll get to take a ride on an actual train from Raleigh, Cary, Durham or Burlington to Greensboro, where you'll get off and enjoy some other seasonal activities. Then, you hop back on the train and ride home.

Here's the deal on the Raleigh Santa Train

It takes place on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Passengers can board at any of these stops: Raleigh Union Station (departs at 10 a.m.); Cary (10:12 a.m.); Durham (10:32 a.m.) and Burlington (11:08 a.m.).

Once in Greensboro, passengers will have about 30 minutes before departing on train #74. It will arrive back at Raleigh Union at 1:41 pm.

And this part is important: To ride the Santa Train, book your round-trip ticket on Train #75 to Greensboro (GRO), returning on Train #74. Ticket price varies depending on where you pick up the train.
