Is your teen headed to college. WRAL-TV's Dr. Allen Mask says they need to know their health history before they leave for home - and how to access health care when they get to college.

Through childhood with a pediatrician, the parent does most of the talking, Dr. Mask says. Experts say that when the child becomes a young adult and goes off to college, it should be their opportunity to ask questions.

"Especially now at this very vulnerable age, they might want to ask some questions with you out of the room, so really make it a point to step out and let them do the talking with their doctor," said Dr. Neha Vyas with the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Mask's story has more information about how to help teens get all of the information they need before they leave for home.
