Glasshouse Kitchen opens in Research Triangle

Glasshouse Kitchen is set to officially open Wednesday at 5 Laboratory Drive. The modern, upscale establishment will initially be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.

Glasshouse Kitchen owner Sara Abernethy and executive chef Savannah Miller's favorite dish is the charcuterie board. It features a rotating selection of house-cured meats, local cheese, accouterments, pickles, vegetables and grilled pain au levain.

Glasshouse Kitchen's margaria pizza has fresh heirloom tomato, fresh mozzarella and basil.

Glasshouse Kitchen's Fig & Pig pizza has prosciutto, fig, chervil and fontina.

One part that makes Glasshouse Kitchen unique is how its Neapolitan-style pizzas are cooked. They are put in one of three massive PizzaMaster Electric Pizza Ovens that have a high temperature of 932 degrees Fahrenheit.

Wye Hill Hospitality chef Bobby McFarland, Glasshouse Kitchen executive chef Savannah Miller and chef de cuisine Scott McKenney.

Glasshouse Kitchen will feature a crossover with Wye Hill beer along with craft cocktails and a wine program.
