Free Smartphone dry-out service & charging stations from Victra

In preparation for the hurricane and to help people in our communities across the Carolinas after the storm, Victra, operator of 20 Verizon Wireless stores in this region, is offering the following complimentary services in their Triangle area locations:

* Charging stations for residents in any stores that have power themselves (and are open)

* 30% discount on portable power supplies to charge a smartphone if the power is out

Victra is offering this assistance now through next Friday, Sept. 21 for any community members.

Victra has also shared information on what to do immediately if your phone gets wet:

“If your phone gets wet, there are a few things to avoid: do not plug the phone into an electrical outlet and do not put it in a bag of rice. We also suggest turning the phone off and/or removing the battery, if possible. We then suggest finding your nearest store with Redux technology to attempt recovery.
