Fayetteville girl, 13, reports attempted sexual assault

Fayetteville police are investigating a 13-year-old girl's report that two men came in her house and tried to sexually assault her Friday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are investigating a 13-year-old girl's report that two men came in her house and tried to sexually assault her Friday.

The girl told police that she had just gotten home from school, and was by herself, when two men wearing masks and gloves tried to attack her just before 3 p.m.

The girl said she was able to resist them and the men fled the house, which is in the area of Kimbrook Drive and Wayside Road, according to police.

Investigators said there were no signs of forced entry, and it was unknown how the men got inside the house.
