Durham County Library's regional libraries will host a summer reading finale at the Museum of Life and Science on Saturday.

The event is 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Durham museum on Murray Ave. It's free and open to summer reading program participants, but tickets are required. You can pick tickets up at Durham County Library’s regional libraries, Stanford L. Warren Branch Library, and Bragtown Library Family Literacy Center.

The "after hours" event lets summer readers enjoy the museum's exhibits and attractions when it's not as busy - and (hopefully!) cooler. There also will be live music.

Also on Saturday, the Friends of the Durham Library will hold a book sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Books Among Friends, which is located inside Northgate Mall at 1058 W Club Blvd.

Unless otherwise marked, hardbacks are $3, trade paperbacks and other larger paperbacks are $2 and mass market paperbacks are $1. Everything else is priced as marked. A half-price sale is 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday.
