My younger daughter, especially, has loved to finger paint. On rainy afternoons when she was in preschool, she'd spend hours painting with her fingers and toes and, pretty soon, anything else we could find around the house.

This is a great activity that gives kids a chance to learn all about colors, shapes, textures and more. But, for my little one, she just had fun making a mess!

Together, we made a little video of 12 of her favorite things to paint with. One word of warning: You'll need to embrace the mess with this one! Be sure to use washable fingerpaints for the easiest clean up.

Go Ask Mom features things to do with kids every Friday. We usually write about parks and playgrounds and Triangle family destinations. We'll be offering these craft time videos from time to time as well.
