RALEIGH, N.C. — A few things to know in case you're planning a trip to Pullen Park.

The Raleigh park's carousel, along with the carousel at nearby Chavis Park, are both closed as part of the city's COVID-related precautions. They closed Nov. 30.

And the park's kiddie train will be closed from Dec. 11 to Feb. 27 for regular track maintenance. So, if you want to ride the train, it's best to go sooner than later. (Update: Plans originally called for the train to close on Dec. 14, but the date is now Dec. 11.)

The park's kiddie boats are open, but with limited capacity.

If you go, you'll need to pass a wellness check and wear a mask while riding the attractions. The city cautions people to expect some wait times.

More information is on the city's website.
