Come see Go Ask Mom at Fox 50 Family Fest this weekend!

We're excited over here at Go Ask Mom to be participating in the annual Fox 50 Family Fest, a two-day event with activities in both Raleigh and Durham this year! 

Now in its fifth year, the event will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, at Pullen Park in Raleigh, and noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, at American Tobacco Campus in Durham. I'll be out there all day on Saturday. And colleagues will be helping out on Sunday.

Among the many activities, there will be: 

Admission and all of the entertainment on stage and activities are free. You will need to pay, as usual, to ride the rides at Pullen. That's $1 each for the train, kiddie boats and carousel and $6 per half hour of pedal boat rental (the boats fit four people, so $6 total for as many as four people). There also will be food for sale at both locations.

Be sure to stop by the Go Ask Mom table at both events for a fun craft featuring ducks in honor of the Great American Tobacco Duck Race, which will take place on Sunday in Durham as part of the event. It raises money for the Durham Literacy Center, Marbles Kids Museum and the Museum of Life and Science.

Both days, we'll also have a contest for tickets to see the Carolina Hurricanes play on Sunday!
