RALEIGH, N.C. — BugFest, which draws 35,000 to downtown Raleigh each year to learn more about bugs of all kinds, has been rescheduled.

The event had been set for last Saturday, but Hurricane Florence forced the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences to postpone it. BugFest is now set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 20. Outdoor activities will close down at 5 p.m. - about two hours earlier than originally planned.

The free festival typically features more than 100 exhibits, crafts, games and activities; opportunities to interact with entomologists and other scientists; and the chance to dine at Café Insecta where they can sample some buggy dishes prepared by local chefs. Nearly all of the activities and attractions will return for the new date.

More information is on the museum's website.
