It's time to think about summer reading - and, in my humble opinion, the second best place to stock up on inexpensive books (after borrowing them from the library itself) is a library book sale.
Posted — UpdatedIt's time to think about summer reading - and, in my humble opinion, the second best place to stock up on inexpensive books (after borrowing them from the library itself) is a library book sale.
Here, you can pick up for dozens of books for pennies on the dollar - and fill up your bookshelves with great reads that will keep you and the family busy during the long summer months ahead of us.
There are a couple of big book sales coming up. Here's when they are.
Durham Book Sale
Also on April 28 at Northgate, the Durham County Library and Book Harvest will celebrate Dia de los Ninos, or Children's Day, which will include a children's book swap from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the mall's Children's Alleyway. It's free and open to the public.
Families are invited to bring infant, children’s and teen books they have already read and swap out others, all for free, according to a press release. Kids are invited to make crafts, play with robots, listen to stories, watch dances from around the world and take home free books!
Wake County Book Sale
Book prices will be $4 for hardbound books and $2 for paperbacks, children's books and media. Prices drop each day as the sale continues. On Friday, there's a buy one get one free deal. On Saturday, the BOGO deal continues, and prices drop to $2 for hardbound books and $1 for everything else. And Sunday is bargain day. Get a box of books for just $3.
