A second round of stimulus payments included in the $900 billion COVID relief package started going out last week and will continue Monday.
These payments would be the initial $600 checks included in the COVID relief bill. Americans struggling to pay rent and find work due to the pandemic say that $600 is a slap in the face -- but better than nothing. That aid is half of what was provided to Americans in the spring by the federal government.

When the check does arrive, it will be direct deposited like last time.
Trump signed the COVID relief bill, only after saying on Sunday night that he secured a commitment for the Senate to consider legislation to increase the stimulus checks to $2,000.
The House of Representatives on Monday passed a measure to increase checks for Americans under a certain income level to that mark after Trump championed the effort. The bill passed with 44 Republicans joining the Democrats.
But Republicans against the bigger checks worry what good an increase in funds will do.
"I worry this whopping $463 billion won't do what's needed to stimulate the economy or get the jobless back to work," said Rep. Kevin Brady, Republican from Texas.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are both calling on the president to use his power and persuade Senate Republicans to vote on the new measure.
"I'm telling Donald Trump don't just talk about it, act," Schumer said. "These Senate Republicans have followed you through thick and thin. Get them now to act and support the $2,000 checks. "
Who is eligible?
If you make less than $75,000 a year, you'll get the full $600.
Reduced checks, on a sliding scale, will go out to married couples who earn up to $174,000. Married couples also will receive an additional $600 for every child under 17 years old.
Individuals who file as a “head of household” -- usually single parents with children -- are eligible for a $600 check if they have an adjusted gross income up to $112,500 a year. They also will receive an additional $600 per child under 17. Reduced checks, also on a sliding scale, are available for heads of household earning up to $124,500 annually.
What does the bill mean for unemployment insurance?
Everyone who qualifies for unemployment will receive an extra payment of $300 each week. The federal Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation benefit will be paid out for 11 weeks, starting at the end of December through March 14.
In the first relief package passed in March, Americans received an extra $600 a week if they qualified for unemployment. Those payments ran out in July, although President Donald Trump later issued a memo making a further $300 available for about five weeks.
