The Bicycle Film Festival lands in Durham this weekend and includes a bike rodeo for kids on Saturday.

The film festival, which aims to advocate for a better place for the use of bicycles and those who ride them, features a variety of short films about bikes at American Tobacco Campus.

As part of the event, Triangle Bikeworks!, which is organizing the event, will offer a bike rodeo from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the entrance to the American Tobacco Campus on the side closest to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The rodeo will include a bike race to see who can go the slowest without putting a foot down; obstacle course; a safety check for kids' bikes; and a contest to see which bike can pull a log the farthest. Kids also will be able to decorate their bikes.

Check the website for more information about the film festival and Triangle Bikeworks' other projects.

(WRAL.com is a festival sponsor).
