RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. State Fair is in full swing and we have a list of attractions that you do not want to miss this year! All are free with admission to the fair.
K9s in Flight - We first got a look at these rescue dogs turned high-flying stars last year. These six dogs do dock diving, high jump, Frisbee leaps and more during this free show. Definitely worth checking out! See them every day of the fair at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. near Gate 9.
Circle "C" Racing Pigs - This is one of the most popular attractions at the fair every year. Watch hogs and little piglets race around a track for a cheese puff. It is way more fun that is sounds, believe us! See them daily at 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 p.m. at the "Hogway Speedway" near Gate 9.
Down to Earth - These acrobatic silk aerial performers are making their fair debut. Don't miss their high-flying moves on the north Dorton Arena lawn.
Got to Be NC Wine and Craft Beer Exhibit - Located at the Hunt Horse Arena outside Gate 8, you can sample wine and craft beer from 12 rotating wineries and breweries. The exhibit is open from 2-8 p.m. daily.
Horseback riding lessons - As part of the "Year of the Horse," the N.C. Horse Council is offering five-minute riding lessons during the fair. It all happens at the Horse Complex. You can sign up for lessons at the fair and learn more about how to continue your training if you want to ride more.
