RALEIGH, N.C. — Here's a fun activity for young animal lovers out there and kids who need to brush up on their reading and writing skills: You can become a pen pal with the goats at Historic Oak View County Park.

Levi, Elliot, Leroy and Felix all are fielding correspondence from the community. And when you write them, they'll write you back (with, I'm guessing, a little help from their caretakers over at Oak View).

All you need to do is address and mail letters to the following address:

Levi, Elliot, Leroy or Felix the Goat
Historic Oak View County Park

4028 Carya Drive, Raleigh NC 27610

You also can actually see the goats at the park daily. The four hang out in the park's goat corral from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, weather permitting. The park has been busy with socially distanced activities during the pandemic, including a monthly StoryWalk where you can read along with a picture book while you walk through the park and other virtual activities, including this mobile tour scavenger hunt.
