Durham Bulls fans will fill the stands at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Tuesday night for the first home game of the 2025 season.

While the opening to the 2025 home season started on a sour note with a 2-0 loss to the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, there will be plenty more to do for the entire first week.

There's a lot of "new" this year at DBAP, including the debut of Champ, Ripken's younger brother. WRAL News got to meet Champ back in March.

There's also new technology at the ballpark this year, including over 5,000 square feet of new LED lights and a brand new sound system.

"We've got fun for all ages," Chrystal Rowe, Durham Bulls' interim general manager, said. "If you're a die hard baseball fan, we've got something for you. If you're a family with kids and just want to come and hang out and enjoy the weather and you're having a staycation for spring break, we've got something to fit you as well."

New foods this year include a pretzel burger and a pretzel charcuterie tray. These and other new items will rotate throughout the season.

"One of the things we've done is created a Triangle stand which will have some rotating foods," Rowe said. "In the first week, they're going to be pretzel-themed, so we've got the burger. I'm excited about the pretzel charcuterie tray, it's a charcuterie laying in a large pretzel."

Single game tickets start at $13 and can be purchased online or at the game.
