RALEIGH, N.C. — What's happening in the General Assembly on May 16:
- Lawmakers return to start the 2018 short session. A couple of new members will be sworn us.
- No committee meetings are scheduled, and no floor votes are expected.
- Thousands of teachers plan to lobby lawmakers for more support for public education, starting with a march through downtown Raleigh and ending with a rally on Bicentennial Plaza.
