Cold front sparks Friday storms
A line of severe thunderstorms formed in eastern North Carolina ahead of a cold front Friday. The weather caused some warnings and resulted damage to a two turkey houses in Wayne County.

Amanda Summerlin wrote in an email that she and her nephew saw hail the size of dollar coins in Grantham.
Other WRAL viewers reported heavy rain and large hail falling in Greenville and around Pinkney in Wayne County.
"Wind downed some small limbs and a flagpole, while changing directions a couple of times," a viewer named Larry wrote about the Pinkney storm. "Lightning was awesome, got love the lightning!"
Two turkey houses along Weaver Road were damaged during the storms. Vince Weaver, who owns the houses, said no turkeys were in the buildings at the time.
The cold front was expected to dissipate by early Saturday.
Slightly lower humidity will come behind the cold front – but not much cooling. Highs stay in mid 90s through the weekend.
The next chance of showers and storms comes late Sunday.
