Some of the 88 dogs rescued from a suspected puppy mill at a rural Jones County property are almost ready for their forever homes.

TRENTON, N.C. — Some of the 88 dogs rescued from a suspected puppy mill at a rural Jones County property are almost ready for their forever homes.

The animals are being examined and treated by veterinarians at the Wake County SPCA before being eligible for adoption or foster care. Adoption applications for the pups begin April 2.
