Two wanted in Popeye's pig-mask robbery

Fayetteville police have identified one suspect in the robbery of a Popeye's restaurant in which one robber wore a pig mask.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have identified one suspect in the robbery of a Popeye's restaurant in which one robber wore a pig mask.

Lamont Rahem Lyles, 17, of the 1300 block of Ramsey Street, is wanted on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping and conspiracy.

Police are still trying to identify the second man who rushed into the Popeye's restaurant on Bragg Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 and robbed it at gunpoint. One man wore a pig-faced mask to hide his identity.

Lyles is described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds. State Department of Correction records show that he is on probation for November 2010 break-in and larceny convictions.

Anyone with information about Lyles' whereabouts or the identity of the second man is asked to call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve crimes.
