Twittering @ the NC State Fair

Posted — Updated

On July 20 I mentioned on this very blog that the NC State Fair had gone online in a big way, with new interactive initiatives including a MySpace page and a YouTube channel. I wondered why there was no Twitter channel.

Hey, the Fair people were listening! Twittering abounds at http://twitter.com/NCStateFair . The new Twitter outlet is being used to link to blog posts, solicit ideas, and announce news related to the Fair. (Wondering who's in the lead for concert ticket sales? Find out here...)

And while we're talking technology, the Fair site is teasing a new feature. It's not available yet but it should make life a lot easier for you folks who go to the Fair for the food. The "Fair Food Finder" promises to let you look up your food favorites and see where they're located at the Fairgrounds. No longer will you have to wonder about, desperately searching for fried pickles, boiled peanuts, strawberries on a stick, or BBQ sundaes. Stay tuned for a more extensive review when the database goes live.
