HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — North Carolina Education Lottery officials never found what they were looking for: the winner of $100,000.

A Powerball player who bought a ticket in Holly Springs on Oct. 22 won a $100,000 prize, but officials said no one has come forward to claim the prize. The Duncan Junction Depot on N.C. Highway 42 sold the ticket.

The ticket matched four of the numbers on the five white balls and the number of the red Powerball. Because it was a $3 Power Play ticket, the regular $50,000 prize was doubled since the two-times multiplier was drawn that night.

The winning numbers were:

1-28-33-55-56 and 22

The deadline to claim the prize was 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 20.
