WRAL cameras captured the rocket flying above the Raleigh skyline around daybreak for an inspiring start to the day.

Dozens of WRAL viewers from throughout the state sent in photos of the rocket flying in the sky. The rocket launched around 5:49 a.m. from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The rocket was carrying four astronauts from three different countries. The launch was delayed a day due to unfavorable weather conditions.
