Sanford woman charged with attempted murder in husband's shooting

A woman was accused of shooting her husband in their home late Monday night.

SANFORD, N.C. — A woman is charged in connection with the shooting of her husband in their home late Monday night.

Officials responded to a shooting at 55 Oakland Drive in Sanford around 10:45 p.m.

Alan Zinkgraf, 29, was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital and then transferred to UNC Hospital. He was reported to be in critical condition.

His wife, Ashlynn Zinkgraf, 29, was arrested and charged with one count of attempted murder. She was in the Harnett County Detention Center on Tuesday under no bond. An investigation is underway.
