Police arrest Raleigh woman pretending to be a cop - in front of other cops
A 60-year-old Raleigh woman was arrested and charged Tuesday with pretending to be a law enforcement officer, then punching an officer while being arrested.

Jo-Ann McMiller, of the 2000 block of Filbert Street, is charged with assault on a government official, impersonating law enforcement and resisting a public officer. McMiller remained in the Wake County jail Tuesday under a $3,500 bond.
McMiller is accused of pretending to be “special police” in front of Raleigh police officer A. Turner and Sgt. D. McDonald on Feb. 6.
“When asked for identifying credentials, McMiller stated that she left her credentials at home,” according to an arrest warrant.
McMiller then refused to be handcuffed and struck McDonald in the face during the scuffle, the warrant said.
McMiller is also charged with reckless driving/wanton disregard and was issued a criminal citation for assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities have not said why McMiller was charged more than three months after the incident.
