ZEBULON, N.C. — Wake County held its first public hearing Monday night in Zebulon on the proposed Little River Reservoir.

About 3,700 property owners could be impacted by the plan. It would restrict development near the site to protect the water supply from pollutants. Property owners would be limited to building one home per three acres.

The reservoir would serve people in northeast Wake County, including Zebulon, Rolesville and Wake Forest.
