Police: Drinking, horseplay lead to Selma man's death
A Selma man is facing charges Sunday after police say a night of drinking and horseplay led to an acquaintance's death.

Around 11 p.m. Saturday, Johnston County deputies were dispatched to a mobile home, at 101 Johnson Farm Lane, where they found Billy James Mitchell, 37, of Ball Park Road, deceased inside.
The owner of the mobile home, Joe Glenwood Faison, 52, told investigators that he and Mitchell had been playing around when the man suddenly stopped breathing.
Faison is charged with voluntary manslaughter and possession of cocaine, authorities said. He was taken to the Johnston County jail and placed under a $300,000 bond. He has previous convictions for drug possession and driving while impaired, according to state Department of Correction records.
