RALEIGH, N.C. — An 18-year-old was found dead in the driveway of a home on Kissimmee Lane in Raleigh on Friday night.

Raleigh police were called around 5 p.m. for a report of a vehicle collision. When they arrived, they saw a black car crashed into a parked car in the driveway.

Police said Jahar Handse'm Hill was killed in the shooting. Additional information about a motive or suspect has not been released.

Several homes in the neighborhood lost power after the crash.

Residents told WRAL News they heard the incident, but never imagined anything like it.

“When the power went out I thought maybe someone had dug into a wire or done something like that or electrocuted themselves," said neighbor Russell Chafin. "We heard no gunshots. Nothing like that.”

Yellow tape surrounded most of the yard Friday and a white cloth could be seen covering parts of the scene.

"We live in a safe neighborhood. Everybody knows everybody," said Chafin. "It’s unfortunate right that it happened here."
