Fraternity Apologizes for Decoration Theft

Dozens of stolen Christmas decorations were found in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house in Chapel Hill last Sunday.
CHAPEL HILL — Members of a University of NorthCarolina fraternity issued a formal apology for the theft ofdozens of Christmas decorations from Chapel Hill residents. Police foundthe stolen items in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house Sunday afternoon.

Tuesday night, SAE President Worth Liipfert made an officialapology to the city.

The fraternity has promised to work with the Salvation Army during Christmas break, and to volunteer with other local programs over thespring semester.

No charges in the thefts have been filed.
